Holy smoke it's spicy but so good we had chicken cutlet spicy level 8. Thai tea saved my life. Busy establishment be prepared to wait maybe 15-20 mins. Max. They text you when it's your turn. Parking is a hit or miss.

Loved it when I tried a location in Japan and now go whenever my Austin bestie is in town. It never disappoints except sometimes when I get the pork over chicken. Chicken is superior here. The minced meat is fire too. Service is fast and friendly. And there's ample seating. Parking lot can sometimes get crazy.

During busy hours, this place is definitely packed! We waited around 10 minutes for my party of 4 to be seated, but the food definitely took a while to come out. Stewed chicken curry: One of my favorite dishes here! Perfect if you love a soft, tender meat paired with your flavorful curry!

Coco Ichibanya on Convoy was such a pleasant experience and it was our first time! Wish I can have this meal close by. Service was fast, attentive and they have the buttons on the table to press when you need your server so you don't have to keep flagging them down - how productive! We ordered chicken katsu curry, seafood curry, and the kids meal. The curry sauce is the game changer here for me, so flavorful and rich. Meats and seafood was cooked perfect as well. Try this place ya won't be disappointed! The portions were huge also. My daughter loved the kids meal as it came with a little stuffy animal - what a treat!

My favorite place for Japanese curry! You can customize your spice level, choice of sides, and choice of protein. Their chicken cutlet is my go to. We love ordering a side of garlic nan bread to dip our curry in. Last time we visited, you can order off your phone and put food came out so fast!

First time here and my bf recommended this since he's had it in Shanghai and swears by it! Service: 9/10 -- pretty attentive all around! Food: 10/10 -- curry protein and omelet was amazing! Veggie croquettes were very good! Regular spice was just enough, they have many spice levels! I wish they would come to Washington!

Came here after a whole day at SDCC. We were all starving. It was busy inside. Almost all tables were taken. Checked in on the iPad. Said 18 mins and was spot on. Got the text right on time. We ordered: -Keema curry. -XL Chicken cutlet with cheese with extra chicken. -XL Pork cutlet with veggie croquette and thin sliced beef. -XL Veggie croquette with minced beef cutlet. -Seafood with udon noodles and chicken cutlet. -Veggie croquette with chicken cutlet. Everything was delicious and came out fairly quickly with how busy it was inside. We normally go to the Torrance location at home and love it. Equally loved it here. Everyone was happy. Would recommend.

This spot offers great value, with most curries priced between $13-18. I went for the build-your-own curry, where you can customize the rice, spice level, and ingredients. My friend chose the pork cutlet vegetable curry, which came with crispy pork, potatoes, and peppers. I didn't expect much since it's a chain, but I was pleasantly surprised! The curry was flavorful and the portions were generous--neither of us could finish our rice. My friend, who doesn't like strong spices, found the flavor just right--not as overpowering as Indian curry. Overall, it's tasty and worth a try, especially for the price!

I finally visited Coco Ichibanya in San Diego, and I'm wondering why I waited so long! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the vegetable, okra, and tofu omelet curry, and it was perfect--full of flavor and so satisfying. I would definitely order it again without hesitation. If you're in the area and love curry, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed! Yelp ya later!
